When young men describe their Xavier experience, these words emerge first and foremost: Brotherhood. Community. Camaraderie.
Student life on 16th Street is shaped just as much outside the classroom as inside. Sons of Xavier have a plethora of opportunities to learn and grow through more than 80 clubs and activities that allow them to explore new cultures, hone their interests and talents, and challenge their minds. Much-loved school traditions bring the entire community together, reinforcing to students that Xavier is a lifelong home.
Here men are molded from generation to generation as if by a spirit that survives all persons and all circumstances. The things we have been most conscious of are our comradeships, our companionships, and an indefinable something that made the very words ‘16th Street’ words of enchantment recalling scenes and teachers we loved. … You may fairly judge a school by the love men have for it—or the indifference. By this standard Xavier is the greatest school in the country.

What does it mean to be a Son of Xavier?
On any given day, students ebb and flow through Xavier's historic hallways. Whether it’s going to hear a guest speaker at an Entrepreneurial and Investment Society meeting or engaging in some friendly competition in the Quad with the Pickleball Club, every activity is an opportunity for Sons of Xavier to make memories and forge a brotherhood with their classmates.
There's a real sense of brotherhood inside and outside of the classroom, whether it's between other students or your teachers, too.
