Since 1850, Xavier has made its home at 30 West 16th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues.
Located two blocks from Union Square Park in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood, Xavier is easily accessible by a variety of public transportation options.
Xavier students commute to 16th Street each day from across New York City, Westchester, Long Island, and New Jersey, taking the L, M, F, N, R, Q, A, C, E, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or the PATH Train to 14th Street. The Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, and Park Avenue South buses stop near Xavier as well.
Many students from New Jersey and Long Island travel into Penn Station, and students from Westchester travel into Grand Central Terminal and then make their way to 16th Street.
For more information about visiting Xavier, contact the Admissions Office at firstname.lastname@example.org or (212) 924-7900, ext. 1442.
Our fall Open House will take place on Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Open House is a great way to meet current students, teachers, administrators, and coaches. Families receive student-led tours as part of the experience. Registration for our Open House is required and can be conveniently completed through our Inquiry Form starting on September 1.
We offer in-person tours for late applicants who have been accepted. Once your son has been accepted, please call (212) 924-7900, ext. 1442 to schedule a tour.
We will have limited tours for eighth graders applying for the Class of 2028 available after our fall Open House, if you are unable to attend.
We offer Knight for a Day visits to eighth graders. Knight for a Day, our student shadowing program for eighth-graders, immerses applicants in the daily life of a Xavier student each fall and winter. Each Knight for a Day will be paired with a current freshman, attend classes and interact with teachers and students, and enjoy lunch in Hurtado Hall (Xavier will provide you with a lunch voucher).
