For Returning Students

Thanks to the generosity of alumni, current and past parents, and friends of Xavier, we are able to provide $6 million in need-based tuition assistance and merit scholarships to families for the 2025-26 academic year.

Xavier is committed to making a Jesuit education possible for all students regardless of financial circumstances, and we will try our best to meet the expressed need of every family. We will partner with FACTS to process all financial aid applications submitted during the 2025-26 school year.

Dates and Deadlines for Applying for the 2026-27 Academic Year:

Feb. 12: FACTS tuition assistance application opens for returning students.
Apr. 15: FACTS tuition assistance application deadline for returning students. Applications completed after this date will not be considered.
Apr. 22: All supporting financial documentation must be received by FACTS by this date.
May 20: Tuition assistance decisions released by email on or before this date.

Review the FAQs below carefully, particularly if you own a business, are a single parent, or you are legally divorced or separated. If a student has two households (whether divorced or separated), each household must create a separate FACTS account and submit a separate FACTS application. All biological parents, both custodial and non-custodial parents, are required to apply for tuition assistance. Xavier will merge the applications, once both are submitted.
Adhering to the FACTS financial aid application deadline of April 15, 2026 is essential, so Xavier can make the tuition assistance award process fair and equitable. FACTS must receive all supporting materials by April 22, 2025, for your son to receive consideration for need-based financial aid for the 2026-2027 academic year.
If you need the Financial Aid Policy FAQs provided to you in a language other than English or Spanish, please contact the Admissions Office.
Currently enrolled families applying for an applicant in the Class of 2030 should only submit one FACTS application annually. Please list all students on the application. You will need to upload the 2025 taxes to FACTS by April 22, 2026, so the Financial Aid Committee can consider your currently enrolled son(s) for tuition assistance. See Step 1 below for information you must submit for your currently enrolled son(s). Please do not email documentation directly to Luciano Lovallo or to FACTS. By emailing documents, you are exposing yourselves and Xavier to unnecessary risk. If you choose not to upload documents, please send them certified directly to FACTS.

When you apply...

Review the FACTS Quick Guide Worksheet in English or Spanish.
Gather the following documents, if applicable (you will submit these to FACTS after you complete the application):
- A complete copy of your 2025 FEDERAL tax returns including all related schedules (e.g., Schedule A, C, and E), and, if applicable, business tax returns, including K-1s, Form 1065, Form 1120, and Form 1120S.
- A copy of all your related 2025 W2 and/or 1099 for all jobs worked.
- IRS Integration: FACTS Tuition Management now has a feature allowing you to upload requested tax documentation directly from the IRS. Click here to learn more.
- Two most-recent paystubs for all jobs worked in 2026. If you are receiving Social Security, unemployment, or disability compensation, you will need to submit a copy of the two most recent stubs. Please note that obtaining these documents may take some time, so please request them as soon as possible.
- A copy of your most recent mortgage statement, home equity statement, or rental agreement.
- Support documentation for receipt of SNAP or Section 8 housing assistance.
- Documentation regarding child support––court documents or cancelled check copy.

Complete and submit your FACTS application. If you have any questions about the FACTS application itself or how to upload the documents, please call (866) 441-4637.
Double check your email for a confirmation from FACTS, including a list of all required supporting documents you must submit.
FACTS must receive all requested documentation by April 22, 2026. Please follow the directions in the email from FACTS on how to submit all supporting documentation. Do not fax and never email the tax information, either to FACTS or to Xavier High School. Please do not erase all SSNs from all financial documents.
For financial aid applications filed on time, notice of the Financial Aid Committee's decision will be mailed no later than May 20, 2026.
