For Incoming Students

Thanks to the generosity of alumni, current and past parents, and friends of Xavier, we are able to provide more than $4.5 million in tuition assistance to families in need for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Xavier is committed to making a Jesuit education possible for all students regardless of financial circumstances, and we will try our best to meet the expressed need of every family. We partner with FACTS to process all financial aid applications. Dates and Deadlines for Enrollment in Fall 2025:

Oct. 22: FACTS tuition assistance application opens for prospective students.
Dec. 4: FACTS tuition assistance application deadline for prospective students.
Dec. 11: Deadline for FACTS to receive all supporting documentation.
Jan. 22: Tuition assistance decisions are mailed with your admissions decision.

Review the FAQs below carefully, particularly if you own a business, are a single parent, there are multiple households, and/or parents are legally divorced or separated.
Adhering to the FACTS tuition assistance application deadline of December 4 is essential, so Xavier can make the financial aid award process fair and equitable. You must submit the application by December 4 and FACTS must receive all supporting materials by December 11 for your son to receive consideration for tuition assistance.
Do not assume your son is going to earn a merit scholarship. If you you truly believe that you cannot afford the full cost of tuition, please file a financial aid application through FACTS.
If you need the FAQs provided to you in a language other than English or Spanish, please contact the Admissions Office at admissions@xavierhs.org.
Families with a currently enrolled Xavier student(s) in their freshman, sophomore, or junior year and an applicant for the Class of 2029 must apply for the entire family at the same time by the December 4 deadline using your 2023 tax information. In addition, please upload copies of all 2024 tax information to FACTS by April 17, 2025, so the Financial Aid Committee can make an award for your currently enrolled son(s). Please do not submit a separate FACTS application in the spring. Please do not email documentation directly to Luciano Lovallo or to FACTS.

When you apply...

Review the FACTS Quick Guide Worksheet in English or Spanish.
Gather the following documents, if applicable:
- A complete copy of your 2023 FEDERAL tax return including all related schedules (e.g., Schedule 1, A, C, and E), and, if applicable, business tax return, including K-1s, Form 1065, Form 1120, and Form 1120S.
- A copy of all your related 2023 W2 and/or 1099 for all jobs worked.
- Two most-recent paystubs for all jobs worked in 2024. If you are receiving Social Security, unemployment, or disability compensation, you will need to submit a copy of the two most recent stubs. Please note that obtaining these documents may take some time, so please request them as soon as possible.
- A copy of your most recent mortgage statement, home equity statement, or rental agreement.
- Support documentation for receipt of SNAP or Section 8 housing assistance.
- Documentation regarding child support––court documents or cancelled check copy.
- PLEASE NOTE: Xavier High School does reserve the right to have a family request a transcript of a family's tax return directly from the IRS and then submit that transcript to Xavier High School's Financial Aid Committee. This is not a required step; Xavier's Financial Aid Committee will contact you if they wish to request that document.
- Review the Financial Aid Policies FAQs for 2024-25 for Incoming Families in English or Spanish. It is particularly important to review if there are more than one household, if you are a single parent, if you are self-employed, or if one parent does not work.
- Click here register for a FACTS account and start your application. For families who already have a FACTS account through Xavier, please use your existing account.

Complete and submit your FACTS application online. You have the option to complete the online application in English or Spanish. If you have any questions about the FACTS application itself, please call FACTS at (866) 441-4637.
Once you submit the FACTS application, double check your email for a confirmation from FACTS, which will include a list of all required supporting documents you must submit. Documents can be submitted in pdf or jpeg format.
FACTS must receive all requested documentation by December 11, 2024. Please follow the directions in the email from FACTS on how to submit all supporting documentation. Do not fax and never email the tax information, either to FACTS or to Xavier High School. Please do not erase all SSNs from all financial documents.
For financial aid applications filed on time, notice of the Financial Aid Committee's decision will be emailed on January 22, 2025, along with the Admissions Decision.
