The Xavier Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund

Hurricane Sandy had a devastating impact upon the Xavier student body. More than 80 students were initially displaced from their homes as a result of the storm and many lost basic necessities and supplies.

Xavier remains committed to providing the assistance needed to the families of students affected by Sandy so that those students can continue to receive a Xavier education regardless of their financial needs. Funds donated to Xavier for Hurricane Relief have been and will be used to provide:

  • Clothes, uniforms, books, athletic equipment, computers and other supplies to students who lost these items in the storm;

  • Tuition assistance for families who will now have financial difficulty paying tuition for the remainder of the school term as a result of Sandy;
  • Cleanup supplies and transportation for Xavier service teams providing cleanup and relief services in storm-affected areas;

Any questions please contact Mark Mongelluzzo at mongelluzzom@xavierhs.org. All donations to this fund will be used for Hurricane Relief.  This effort is distinct from the Xavier Annual Fund.
