In recent years, this longtime Xavier tradition has grown to new heights and has consistently shattered all attendance expectations. Open to all Xavier alumni age 21 and over, the Xavier Beefsteak is an all-you-can-eat steak and open bar extravaganza. It takes more than 900 pounds of beef and dozens of servers to feed the 800+ alumni who have shown up the past three years.

If the immense amount of beef wasn’t enough to get you to sign up immediately, we are pleased to announce that a large number of former and present faculty and staff will be at the dinner, making the event a truly unparalleled occasion – the full list is above and growing. But what really makes the event special is you; the Xavier alumni who show up year after year are the ones that make the Beefsteak what it is. 

So, the more, the merrier! Register today to help break the Beefsteak record! Please register in advance so that we can be sure to have enough food for everyone. We do our best to keep prices down from year to year with the hope of making the dinner accessible to one and all, and advance registration helps us plan accordingly. Advance tickets are $60, tickets are $70 the week before, and the door price is $80. If you register today, you knock $20 off the door price! 

PURCHASE A 50/50 TICKET ahead of time, to be drawn the night of the event – and don’t worry, the winner need not be present to claim the prize.

About the Beefsteak Dinner: 

Nightingale Caterers is one of the oldest family-run Beefsteak providers in the New York area. While Beefsteak Dinners seem perched to regain more mainstream popularity, Nightingale has been at it all along since 1938. Last year, they prepared over 900 pounds of beef for our traditional mid-winter event.
