Alumni Flock to Winter Receptions
Sons of Xavier recently reunited at receptions in Houston, Chicago, and Washington, D.C., marking the end of Xavier’s 2015 travels.
While former Vice President for Advancement Joe Gorski didn’t make it after being stranded by inclement weather, alumni in Houston still enjoyed a festive dinner at the Post Oak Grill Uptown on November 17. The next evening, Executive Vice President Daniel Dougherty and Director of Alumni Relations Zane Massey ’96 mixed and mingled with alumni at the University Club of Chicago at a reception hosted by Herb Quinde ’70.
Last Wednesday, December 2, Washington, D.C.-area alumni gathered at the Army and Navy Club for an event hosted by Major Francis Dong ’67. Xavier President Jack Raslowsky, Senior Army Instructor Lt. Col. Roy Campbell, USA (Ret.), Mr. Massey, and Mr. Gorski also attended this final reception of 2015.
“It’s always a pleasure to reconnect with alumni. They are proud of their Xavier heritage and succeeding in diverse industries,” Mr. Massey said. “I also had the opportunity to meet with Xavier’s youngest graduates on college visits to Loyola Chicago and the Catholic University of America, among others. They are bright, energetic, and eager to participate in our alumni community.”
