Alumni Reunite in California
Xavier traveled to visit her Sons across California this week, making stops in Santa Monica, Newport Beach, San Diego, and San Francisco.
Xavier President Jack Raslowsky and James Cappabianca ’05, Special Assistant to the President and Executive Vice President, traveled to the Golden State to meet with alumni at receptions and on college campuses. Mr. Cappabianca visited alumni studying at the University of Southern California, while Mr. Raslowsky traveled to Stanford.
Lively receptions across the state—hosted by Francis Tirelli ’70 in Santa Monica, Tracy and Roger Kirwan ’60 in Newport Beach, and Lauren and James Brennan ’92 in San Diego—rounded out their itinerary and were potent reminders of the love Sons of Xavier have for 16th Street long after graduation.
“It’s truly a blessing to meet and spend time with our alumni on the West Coast,” said Mr. Cappabianca. “James Brennan ’92 put it best as he addressed the guests at his home: ‘I owe my life to Xavier and there is very little that I wouldn’t do for that place.’ Hearing this sentiment echoed by numerous alumni in Newport Beach and Santa Monica as well proves again that Xavier is a special place held in high regard by alumni near and far."
