Xavier's Sunshine State Tour Receives a Warm Welcome
Xavier’s annual tour of the Sunshine State was met with a warm welcome, literally and figuratively, as scores of Sons reunited across Florida.
Beginning in Palm City on Sunday, February 12, President Jack Raslowsky and Executive Vice President Daniel Dougherty have connected with alumni spanning six decades (from 1945 to 2005). Vin Biagi, S.J. ’67 joined them in Palm City and Jupiter; Director of Alumni Relations Zane Massey ’96 joins them tonight in Miami.
"The loyalty of the Sons of Xavier in Florida remains strong. Dozens gathered this week at the receptions in Palm City, Jupiter, and Naples, eager to reconnect with friends of long standing,” Dougherty said. “It has been entertaining and enjoyable to hear stories of Xavier from the 1940s to the 2000s. I am especially grateful for the generosity of our hosts and look forward to seeing more Sons in Miami tonight."
Xavier echoes that gratitude to all of our hosts in Florida: Gene Rainis ’58 in Palm City; Tia and Bill Boyan ’45 in Naples; and Paul Scariano ’90 P'19 and Malik Benjamin ’95 in Miami.
