Financial Aid Steve Noga sign letters to Xavier applicants.

Congratulations, Class of 2021

This year, more than 1,000 young men applied to Xavier. On January 20, they received their admissions decisions online.

Applicants included eighth graders from across New York City’s five boroughs; Westchester, Rockland, and Orange Counties; Long Island; New Jersey; and students relocating from Colorado, Florida, and Maryland. Among the applicant pool were 192 legacy applicants and 217 graduates of the Higher Achievement Program (HAP). Students represented 363 grammar schools.

Director of Admissions and Financial Aid Steve Noga said he's proud Xavier's application process evaluates the whole student, not just his test scores.

"Xavier's Class of 2021 is shaping up to be an exceptionally strong class. The applicants and their families demonstrate a strong desire to become part of Xavier's mission of providing a high-quality Jesuit education in the heart of New York City. We were so excited to receive applications from so many students of diverse backgrounds and interests," Noga said. "We're confident that the Class of 2021 will set the world on fire for God's greater glory."
