Daily News Highlights Edward McLaughlin '63 

In 33 years on the bench, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Edward McLaughlin ’63 earned a reputation for toughness, but the New York Daily News profiled him in early December for another reason—his kindness in the wake of a young police officer’s death in 1988.

McLaughlin, a loyal Son of Xavier who served as chair of the Xavier Hall of Fame Nominating Committee until 2014, retired in October. Two hundred well-wishers attended his retirement dinner in early November.
