McKinney, Neuffer-McCann, Kennedy Retire

The St. Robert Bellarmine, S.J. Medal is awarded to distinguished members of the faculty and staff upon their retirement. The medal honors the virtues extolled by St. Robert Bellarmine, a teacher and doctor of the Church and a member of the Society of Jesus: commitment to the service of the Church, deep intellectual curiosity, and a love of students.

This year, Xavier awarded Bellarmine Medals to retiring teachers Jerome McKinney P’92 ’94 and Sheryle Neuffer-McCann as well as retiring college counselor Christopher Kennedy ’62. They were also given the honor of leading the procession into St. Patrick’s Cathedral, carrying the school mace. Together, Mr. McKinney, Ms. Neuffer-McCann, and Mr. Kennedy contributed 75 years to Xavier.

We are grateful to them for their distinguished service.
