Hair Premieres Friday
By Nick Byrne '11
Nearly 50 years after it was first performed, the original rock musical, Hair, will run on West 16th Street from April 8 to 10. The theme of war versus peace is as relevant as ever and ensures the musical still resonates today.
Faculty members Nicole DiMarco and Martin Lopez serve as the play’s director and producer, respectively.
“The cast is doing a fantastic job,” DiMarco said. “Many of them have said that this is their favorite show yet.
Hair is an ensemble piece steered by Billy Feerick ’17 and Harrison O’Callaghan ‘17.
“Billy has some amazing moments,” DiMarco added. “He almost moves me to tears in rehearsal. The audience is in for a treat.”
Come see the spring musical this weekend: Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door. Bring your friends and family!
