Xavier Tops 1,000 Donors During Giving Month

Xavier’s first Giving Month showcased the power of philanthropy. Thank you to the 1,071 donors who made gifts during December’s 31 days—an average of 35 donors per day—earning Xavier a $25,000 challenge grant from Vincent Amabile '59.

One hundred and forty-four young alumni donors—a 177% increase over last December and 251% increase over December 2013—including 69 new young alumni gave to Xavier. Year to date, 237 young alumni have made gifts.

"These results were outstanding,” noted Director of Development Mark Mongelluzzo. “As Xavier seeks to increase participation among our alumni and parents in order to meet the ever-growing needs of our student body, seeing a month-long effort like this reach its goal is inspiring. It is critically important that we see more donors from our young alumni, and they came through in December. We hope to see the momentum continue through 2016 so Xavier can finish strong."
