Three Sons of Xavier to Represent USA at Rugby World Cup
Three Sons of Xavier—Mike Petri '02, Seamus Kelly ’09, and head coach Mike Tolkin ’85—will represent the United States at the Rugby World Cup in England this fall.
The team begins its quest for the World Cup against Samoa on September 20. Each of the U.S.’s four pool matches will be broadcast live on Universal Sports. All Rugby World Cup 2015 matches will be available on a pay-per-view basis.
Mr. Tolkin, a former Xavier teacher, has coached the USA Men’s Eagles since 2012. Mr. Petri, a current Xavier teacher and the author of R is for Rugby: An Alphabet Book, captains the New York Athletic Club rugby team. (Click here to learn more about his story.)
