Deepen Your Faith with These Lenten Resources
Lent is a time for prayer and reflection—often difficult tasks in our busy digital world. Recognizing the struggle of many to find time for these pursuits, various Catholic organizations are offering online reflections, daily emails, and apps meant to meet individuals where they are.
The Jesuits of Canada and the United States have created a multimedia Lenten experience, Igniting Our Values, building on the success of last year’s Moved to Greater Love digital prayer program. Available as a daily email or weekly PDF file, Igniting Our Values features readings, reflections, prayers, and songs. Loyola Press, a Jesuit publishing house, is also featuring articles, suggested books, activities, and Lenten reflections on their website.
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ website is the home of a Lenten calendar that readers can view online or print out for the home or office. Each day features a special quote or contemplation.
CRS Rice Bowl, Catholic Relief Services’ Lenten faith-in-action program, is bringing Lent to life with a free app available for download in the App Store or on Google Play. Available in Spanish or English, the app features reflections, videos, meatless recipes, and much more.
