Xavier Travels the Nation
In an effort to maintain strong ties to all Sons of Xavier—even those far away from 16th Street—Xavier administrators prioritize meeting alums where they are.
Xavier President Mr. Jack Raslowsky visited more than 20 alums and spouses in Phoenix, Arizona, on January 15, while Director of Alumni Relations Mr. James Cappabianca ’05 made time to meet with young alumni in Berkeley, California, and New Orleans, Louisiana, during his recent travels. While visiting San Francisco for the Jesuit Secondary Education Association (JSEA) Advancement and Alumni Conference, Mr. Cappabianca visited Xavier rugby alums and current Cal Bears rugby players James Kondrat '12, Connor Sweet '13, and Charles Guiraud '12 at the University of California at Berkeley. A week later, while in New Orleans for the 45th Annual CASE-NAIS Independent Schools Conference, Mr. Cappabianca visited with Paul Maloney '14, now a student at Loyola University New Orleans; Daniel Morgan '12, a student at Tulane University, and Braham Berg '13, also at Tulane. Director of Annual Giving Mr. Shane Lavin ’03, who attended CASE-NAIS along with Mr. Cappabianca, joined the group.

Xavier will continue to visit alumni around the country this spring, including receptions in Florida and on the West Coast in March; in Boston, Charlotte, N.C., Atlanta, Ga., and Charleston, S.C. in April; and Philadelphia in May.
