Mr. Michael Petri '02, in Advance of USA/All Blacks Rugby Match, Featured on NPR and CBS
Mr. Michael Petri '02 is Xavier's very own Renaissance man. He teaches at Xavier, plays rugby for the New York Athletic Club and the USA national rugby team, the Eagles, and has authored several children's books. As vice-captain of the USA Eagles, Mr. Petri will play against the New Zealand All Blacks, currently ranked the best team in the world, on November 1 in Chicago. In advance of this historic game, Mr. Petri has been featured prominently in several nationalwide and local news outlets.
On October 31, Mr. Petri will be featured in a nationwide segment for National Public Radio's Marketplace program. NPR came to Xavier on October 21 to interview Mr. Petri and several members of the Xavier community regarding himself and his upcoming match. The broadcast will air in New York City on Friday, October 31 at 6:30 PM on WNYC (820 AM or 93.9 FM), or online at http://www.marketplace.org/. For local listings, please consult NPR Marketplace.
