Wednesday marked the end of the spring sports season, and the end of Xavier athletics for the year, as the Spring Sports Awards Dinner was held in the gymnasium, Hurtado Hall and the Commons.

Rugby, tennis and golf all had their dinners in the gymnasium, while the large track team had its dinner in Hurtado Hall and baseball's ceremony took place in the Commons. Every team celebrated a wide swath of athletes - those most valuable on their teams, most improved,most  sportsman-like and more.

Speakers thanked a wide host of people for the efforts and talents they lend Xavier's Athletics program - the Athletic Director Anthony Paolozzi and Assistant Athletic Director Justin Hundley; the many coaches who offer their time to help the teams out; the parents who support their children at games throughout the year; and the players who contribute money, time and a lot of hard work to be able to take part in the sports while at the same time completing their studies. 

Though the year is over, the fall season is right around the corner - football's spring camp will be held next week. Try and support the Knights in any way you can next year!
