How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying

The Xavier Dramatics Society put on riotous performances of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying on April 12-14. The musical, a hilarious recently-revived piece based on the book by the same name written by Shepherd Mead, was played outstandingly by a large cast of Xavier students and young women from neighboring schools.

The cast, totaling 38, was one of the largest that director Ms. Nicole DiMarco has worked with. Ms. DiMarco was helped by Ms. Katie Proulx, the choreographer, Mr. Martin Lopez, the producer, Ms. Deena Sellers (along with the Stage Crew) and Ms. Lisa Hickman, a working actress and writer who helped out in many ways.

Nine seniors involved with the Xavier Dramatics Society who performed in How to Succeed are graduating this June: Conor Hurley '14, Connor Siemer '14, Justin Ragolia '14, James Lavelle '14, Nick Inglese '14, Billy Cosgrove '14, Chris Barcia '14, Heath Carmichael '14 and James Bruzzesse '14. They lent their talents to the production and it paid off in a big way - audiences audibly loved the show. "I was pleased with the way the show turned out," said Ms. DiMarco. "The students worked extremely hard and this was a challenging musical for them because the music was really hard."
