Mr. Ventrella's Artwork
First, a little about me. I was born in Brooklyn and grew up in Sheepshead Bay. I attended Xavier High School and graduated in 1992. I have always had a passion for art, so it was a surprise to no one that I ended up at Manhattan's School of Visual Arts as a cartooning/illustration major. I learned from such heavyweights as Carmine Infantino, Walt Simonson and Klaus Janson from Marvel and DC Comics, Angelo Torres and Paul Porges from Mad Magazine, and many other outstanding artists. I graduated from SVA in 1996, began teaching at Xavier in the fall of 1997, and have been here ever since. Below are some examples of my artwork: mostly pen-and-ink with more color pieces being added as I go. Enjoy!
