Companions of Xavier
The Companions of Xavier Service Program is a long standing part of our school tradition that gives Xavier students the opportunity to live out the Ignatian call to be “Men For Others.” Like our patron St. Francis Xavier, we too are called to go forth into the world to be witnesses of the Gospel. Founded on the cornerstones of community, simplicity, prayer, and service, these service trips provide students with a communal experience of Church, as a center of reflection and prayer, while working with those most in need.
Known by the Xavier community simply as "CFX", hundreds of students, faculty, staff, and alumni have volunteered during their summers in this continually growing program at the heart of our school's Jesuit mission and Ignatian identity. Many students have found these service trips to be incredible, life-changing, and exciting experiences in which they have learned new skills, ministered to wonderful people, made new friends, and grown closer to God.
